Gratitude. We take our lives for granted, and don’t even recognize the gifts that surround us. I am one of those, living a life of abundance…and taking it all for granted. Do you take your life for granted? Do you often think you do not have enough? What ever happened to gratitude?
I followed a school bus as it stopped and let two children off to go to their home. I just didn’t realize it was a home. There was no sign of life as the children opened the door, went in, and closed the door. The windows were boarded up. The windows had no glass. It looked abandoned. I never knew someone lived there…that it was someone’s home. What would it be like to live in a home that had windows with boards?
I live in a home that has windows with glass…all of them, have glass. My life allows me to have glass in my windows. Glass that keeps the cold out and the warm in. Glass that can open her eyes and let cool breezes in, and her summer aromas floating through my home. The aromas of cut grass, budding flowers, and burgers cooking on the grill. Glass that closes her eyes and repels the rain from a summer downpour and a winter chilly blustery wind. Glass that lets the sun shine in to warm the floor and bathe the cat. When the sun disappears moon shadows dance across my floor waiting for an encore. I live a life of abundance, we live lives of abundance.
Several years ago my life changed when I started living the moment. Looking for His gifts. Giving thanks. My life is happier and I laugh easier. Do you want to be happier, handle stress, and have a sense of well being? Refocus. Accept the challenge. Start living the moment. Looking for His gifts. Giving thanks…everyday. Your life will change, I promise.
Thank You for glass, and the sun that warms my bed, bathes my cat, and fills my house with warmth.
Living the moment. Looking for His gifts. Giving thanks.
